Snow Hits Several Parts Of NI
Several parts of Northern Ireland have been hit with snow today, 28 April.
Traffic was also moving slowly throughout some areas in NI as motorists took care on the roads.
According to the Met Office, outbreaks of rain are expected throughout the day with hill snow and it is to become windier.
This evening and tonight occasional showers are also expected with strong westerly winds.
Friday is to be a mostly dry and bright day with some sunny spells and moderate winds.

Gale Force Winds And Snow Expected In NI
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for gale force winds and snow across Northern Ireland. The warning has been put in place from Wednesday, 11 January, until 12pm on Thursday, 12 January. Gale force winds of up to 70mph are expected in some places with increasing wintry showers.

Motorists Warned To Take Care Following Heavy Snow Fall In NI
Motorists are being warned to take care on the roads following heavy snow fall in some areas of Northern Ireland. Temperatures plummeted to -1 degrees overnight leaving ice on the roads. A PSNI spokesperson said: "We don't need much snow and ice for our wee country to grind to a halt! "Leave extra time for your journey.

Heavy snow showers affect whole of NI
Heavy snow showers have affected many parts of Northern Ireland overnight and there is a Met Office severe weather warning in force. Snow depths ranged from one inch to six inches with many schools closing for the day because of the dangerous conditions.

Yellow Warning For Ice And Snow
A yellow warning for snow and ice is in place across Northern Ireland following what is said to have been the coldest night of the year. The Met Office reported that ice has formed on surfaces, with higher ground expected to see continued snowfall. A mixture of rain and sleet is expected across lower areas throughout the day.

Snow Closes Schools Throughout NI
Over 200 schools have closed due to the heavy snow across Northern Ireland. The Department of Infrastructure confirmed conditions are extremely difficult, however gritters have worked throughout the night and are continuing to work today, 17 January.
