Investigation Launched Following Carjacking In South Belfast

Police have launched an investigation following a carjacking in south Belfast on Tuesday, 19 April.

The owner of a Smart car was threatened by a man, after parking the vehicle at around 10pm in Stockmans Lane, and told to hand over his keys.

The man made off in the vehicle in the direction of the motorway.

The car was recovered a short time later at Roumania Rise in west Belfast.

The suspect is described as being of slim build and was wearing a light grey hooded top, a baseball cap with dark peak and dark coloured trainers.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

PSNI Officers Injured After Stolen Car Crashes Into Vehicle In West Belfast
Two police officers have been injured after a stolen car crashed into their vehicle in west Belfast. A silver Volkswagen, which had been reported stolen in the Castlereagh area in connection with a creeper style burglary on Wednesday morning, collided with the PSNI vehicle in the Cullingtree area just before 9.45pm on Wednesday, 15 February.

Man Dies In Three Car Collision In Dundrum
Police have issued an appeal for information following a fatal collision in Dundrum, Co Down. A 49-year-old man died at the scene of a three-car collision on the Belfast Road at about 12:20am on Thursday. It is understood that four other people are being treated in hospital following the collision.

Three People Charged Over Six-Car Collision In North Belfast
Three people have been charged in connection with a six-car collision in north Belfast. The crash happened on the Crumlin Road on Tuesday, 03 July. Police had been pursuing a stolen car after it failed to stop and caused a six-car pile up. Five people and a child had to receive hospital treatment.

Stolen Car Crashes With Police Vehicle In South Belfast
Police are appealing for witnesses after a stolen car and a police vehicle crashed in south Belfast. The silver Mini, which was taken during a burglary at Fitzroy Avenue in the early hours of Thursday morning, collided with a police vehicle at the junction of Fitzroy Avenue and Carmel Street. No-one was injured in the incident.
