Two Businesses Completely Destroyed In West Belfast Arson Attack
Police are appealing for information after two businesses in west Belfast were destroyed in an arson attack.
Police and forensic teams attended the scene on the Glen Road at around 4.20am on Sunday.
Sinn Féin MLA Rosie McCorley condemned the attack.
She said: "The people who targeted these businesses in last night’s disgraceful attack need to realise they have put over 30 local jobs in jeopardy.
"I attended the scene and met with the owner who is totally devastated.
"The man who has built up his local businesses over twenty years by servicing the community has seen two businesses, a barber shop and a taxi office destroyed.
"I will be working with him in order to get these businesses alternative premises so we can minimise any potential job losses.
"I would appeal to anyone with any information about these attacks to bring it forward to the PSNI immediately as the people who carried them out have nothing to offer our society but misery."
