Toddler Knocked Down In Co Down

A toddler is being treated in hospital after being struck by a car in Banbridge, Co Down.

Police are appealing for information after the driver left the scene at Corbet Lake at around 4.20pm on Saturday.

The toddler, whose injuries are not believed to be life threatening, was hit by a blue Volkswagen type car.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Toddler Hospitalised After Car Plunges Into Canal
A two-year-old boy has been seriously injured after his family car plunged into Newry Canal yesterday afternoon. It is understood the car swerved off the road to avoid an oncoming vehicle on the Omeath Road at around 2.30pm.

Toddler shot in head with pellet gun
Police are appealing for information after a toddler was shot in the head with a pellet gun at the weekend. The two year-old boy was playing outside his home in McDonald Street in the Grosvenor Road area of west Belfast at about 7.45pm on Sunday when the incident occurred.

Colin Horner Murder: Man Arrested
A 29-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Colin Horner. Mr Horner, 35, was fatally shot in front of his young son in a supermarket car park on Sunday, 28 May. The man was arrested in the Newtownards area on Friday, 16 June. He has been taken to Musgrave Police station for questioning.

Armed Robber Dresses As Police Officer
Police are searching for two men in connection with the attempted armed robbery of a shop in Co Armagh. Police said that one of the men who attempted to rob the shop on West Street, Portadown, was dressed as a policeman. It is understood two men entered the shop at about 10am on Thursday, one of them was carrying a suspected firearm.
