Lisburn Firm To Create 50 New Jobs
A Lisburn firm has announced it is to create 50 new jobs.
Leckey, manufacturers and suppliers of supportive equipment for children with special needs, said the jobs will be created as part of a £3.2 million investment to expand its products and boost its export sales.
The 50 jobs will be across a range of roles including manufacturing, sales, design, engineering and marketing and 18 of the roles are already in place.
CEO James Leckey, said: "This investment is an exciting milestone in the strategic growth of our business which will focus on building our core sales and introducing a new range of products.
"Innovation has been central to our success to date and working with Invest NI we are positioning ourselves to move with key trends and developments driving growth in our target markets.
"Growing our workforce will ensure we have the resources that we need to strengthen our brand and continue to deliver excellent customer service by working collaboratively with parents and therapists."
Invest Northern Ireland has offered the company £715,366 towards its growth plans which involves R&D to design and prototype new products and grow its customer base outside Northern Ireland.

Four New Play Parks Announced For L'Derry
£2.8m from the Executive's Social Investment Fund is going toward four new play parks in L'Derry, The facilities will be located at Ballymagroarty Play Park, Kilfennan Valley Park, Ballyarnett Country Park and Daisyfield. Derry City Council has put up £300,000 towards the project.
