East Belfast Security Alert Ends

A security alert in east Belfast has ended.

A suspicious object was discovered on the Sydenham Road on Thursday morning, however it has been declared as "nothing untoward" by police.

Army bomb disposal experts attended the scene, and it is believed the object was found under a car.

The Sydenham Road has been reopened.

A suspicious object has been found in east Belfast. Police and army bomb experts are at the scene. The Sydenham Road has been closed and diversions have been put in place. Motorists are being advised to avoid the area. No further details have been released.
