Two Arrested Following West Belfast Shooting Released On Bail

Two men arrested in connection with a shooting in west Belfast have been released on police bail.

The pair, aged 25 and 35, were detained in the Aspen Walk area of Dunmurry after a man was shot in the leg in the Glasvey Drive area on Tuesday.

The victim is believed to be in a stable condition in hospital.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Policewoman released on bail after shooting colleague
A PSNI officer charged with the attempted murder of a colleague which she had an affair with, has today been released on bail. Diane Marie Northcott, 40, whose address was given as Newtownabbey police station, appeared in Belfast High Court earlier today charged with shooting colleague Laurence Smyth in their place of work in September this year.

Three People Released On Bail After Shooting In Co Down
Three people arrested following a shooting incident in Co Down have been released on bail pending further enquiries. Two men escaped injury after shots were fired at a flat in the Castleview area at around 6am on Sunday, 14 January. The victims were not hurt but were left badly shaken, according to the police.

Bangor Shooting Suspect 'Released Unconditionally'
A man arrested in connection with a double shooting in Bangor, Co Down, earlier this month has been "released unconditionally". The 41-year-old had been held on suspicion of the attempted murder of two men, a 24 and 33-year-old, as they sat in a car at about 01:00 on Monday 10 February at East Way in the Whitehill estate.

PSNI Appeal For Information About West Belfast Shooting
The PSNI have appeal for witnesses to or any one with any information about a shooting incident in west Belfast on Wednesday night. A man was shot in the leg at Creeslough Gardens at around 21:30 on Wednesday night. It is understood that victim is in his 40s and his injuries are not life threatening.

Man Arrested Over Paramilitary-Style Shooting In L'Derry
A man has been arrested in connection with a paramilitary-style shooting in Co L'Derry. A 33-year-old man was shot in the legs and abdomen in the Lisfannon Park area on Tuesday, 08 August. Police described the assault as "brutal and horrific". The 43-year-old suspect was detained in L'Derry on Tuesday, 15 August.
