Carrickfergus Firm Wins Deal In UAE

A beauty product manufacturer based in Carrickfergus has won an estimated £400,000 deal in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Nectar International Ltd has signed a contract which will see its range of 'Soap Story' products in outlets in the Middle East, Africa and India.

Enterprise Minister Jonathan Bell said: "The company have participated on many Invest Northern Ireland trade missions and in November 2015 took part in a trade mission to Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. It was here they successfully closed this deal with Landmark, one of the biggest retailers across the Middle East, Africa and the Indian sub-continent.”

"Nectar has already seen success from its commitment to sales outside Northern Ireland. Over 90 per cent of its products are now exported primarily to Saudi Arabia and the Middle East. I would like to congratulate them on winning this contract and for their persistence and determination to develop their business in the Middle East."

Simon Waring, Managing Director of Nectar said: "We recognise that the future growth of our business will largely be driven by export sales and I believe we secured this business because of our passion and determination to succeed in the UAE market. Invest NI's guidance and practical assistance has also been critically important to the development of our business and in signing this deal with Landmark."
