Appeal After Armed Man Robs Shop In Newry

Police are appealing for information after a man armed with a knife robbed a shop in Newry.

The incident happened in the Abbey Yard area at around 8.30pm on Saturday.

The suspect threatened a member of staff before making off with a sum of cash.

He is described as being aged in his late 20s and was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms and a light grey hooded top.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Police in Newry are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery in the city yesterday morning. A male, carrying a black rucksack entered the shop on Hill Street at around 11am and asked a member of staff to get an item of jewellery out of the window.

Missing Teen Found 'Safe And Well'
A missing teenager has been found 'safe and well' after going missing on Saturday. Police launched an urgent appeal after Paige Brooks, 14, went missing on Saturday evening. Paige was last seen in the Newry area. She was found safe and well on Sunday evening.
