Loyalists blamed for attack on prison officer's home

Loyalists have been blamed for an attack on a prison officer's home in Co Antrim last night.

The officer's car suffered scorch damage in the attack in the Ferndale area of Glengormley, which occurred at around 11pm. No one was injured during the incident.

A man wearing dark clothing and a baseball cap was seen running away from the area.

Police have appealed for anyone who may information to contact them.

Man Shot In The Legs In North Belfast
A man has been shot in the legs in north Belfast. The paramilitary-style attack happened in the Jamaica Street area on Sunday, 25 June. The man was taken to hospital, however his injuries are not believed to be life threatening. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Man Shot In Both Legs In L'Derry
A man in his 30s has been shot several times in the legs in Co L'Derry. The shooting attack happened in the Rinmore Drive area at around 10.30pm on Tuesday, 09 August. The victim was shot in each ankle and once in the thigh. He is currently being treated in hospital, however his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Police Officer Shot In North Belfast
A 36-year-old man has been arrested after a police officer was shot in north Belfast. The attack happened at a petrol station on the Crumlin Road at around 7.30pm on Sunday, 22 January. The officer sustained two bullet wounds to his arm. He is currently in a stable condition in hospital. Dissident republicans are being blamed for the attack.

Appeal After Co Down Home Targeted In Deliberate Attack
Police in Bangor are appealing for information after a property was deliberately attacked in Co Down. The front door of a house was set on fire in the Kearney Gardens area sometime between 9pm on Thursday 31 March and 1am on Friday 01 April. The male resident was not in the property at the time.
