Thieves Attempt To Steal Cash Machine From Railway Station
Thieves attempted to steal an ATM machine from a railway station in Co Armagh.
Police were alerted of the incident in the Woodhouse street area in Portadown in the early hours of Tuesday morning, after reports that a window had been smashed at the station.
Straps were discovered around a cash machine and a vehicle has been used to try to take the machine away.
Inspector Philip Shepherd said: "I would appeal to anyone who would have been in this area and noticed any suspicious activity to contact Lurgan Police Station on the non emergency number 101. Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111."

A cash machine and a safe have been stolen from a service station in Ballynahinch, Co Down. It is believed the burglary at Donard View filling station took place at around 4.30am on Tuesday, 24 April. The ATM machine contained a "substantial" amount of money.

Woman Arrested In Newtownabbey Released On Bail
A 37-year-old woman who was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office has been released on police bail. The woman was detained by officers from the Paramilitary Crime Taskforce in the Newtownabbey area on Thursday, 07 December. She was questioned at Antrim Police Station, however she has been released on bail.

Cash Machine Stolen From Co Tyrone Filling Station
Police have reported the overnight theft of a cash machine from a petrol station in the village of Donaghmore, Co Tyrone. According to police it is thought that a digger may have been used in the robbery from the Emo station on Pomeroy Road. The digger and other equipment was found nearby shortly after the robbery was reported.
