Two Motorcyclists Injured In Separate Incidents

Two motorcyclists have been left injured in separate collisions.

In Omagh, Co Tyrone, a 20-year-old sustained injuries after her black Honda motorcycle crashed on the Clanabogan Road. Police came across the scene at around 1.35am on Friday.

No other vehicle was involved.

The woman has been taken to hospital. She is said to be in a critical condition.

Anyone who may have seen the motorbike in the area has been asked to contact police.

Police have added that part of the Clanabogan Road remains closed. Diversions are in place.

In a separate accident, a man, aged 21, was seriously injured when his green Peugeot motorcycle collided with a silver Mercedes car in the Donegall Park Avenue area of Belfast. The crash happened at around 9.45pm on Thursday, 4 February.

He was taken to hospital, where his injuries are said to be for treatment to his injuries, which police described as serious.

Anyone who may have seen the vehicles in the area are asked to contact police on the non-emergency number 101.

Three separate road accidents in Derry
Police in Londonderry are appealing for information following three separate road traffic collisions in the city at the weekend. In the first incident a man in his late teens was struck by a vehicle in the vicinity of the Carriag Bar on the Strand Road at around 2am on Saturday.

Race Tragedy Shocker In Dublin
A Northern Ireland-based motorcyclist has died following a crash at the Killalane Road Races, near Skerries, in north County Dublin. Victor Gilmore, 42, from Ballymoney was critically injured after he came off his bike at around 1.20pm on Sunday. The Irish police said he was rushed to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, but was then pronounced dead.

Two Injured In Separate Gun Attacks
A man has been injured in a gun attack in L'Derry. The male, in his 20's, was shot in both legs at a property on Monday night. The shooting happened at a house in Kerrigan Close in the Brandywell area. The victim was taken to hospital, however his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Two Die In Separate Motorcycle Crashes
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding two separate motorcycle crashes in Northern Ireland over the weekend, in which two people died. A 49-year-old died in Cushendun, County Antrim, when their motorcycle collided with a Suzuki SX4 on the Loughareema Road at around 10:35 on the morning of Saturday 31 May.
