Thieves Steal iPads And Laptops From Primary School In Antrim

Over 50 laptops and computers have been stolen from a primary school in Co Antrim.

The incident happened at St Joseph's on the Greystone Road overnight on Tuesday.

The thieves stole 50 iPads and around 30 laptops.

Sinn Féin Councillor Anne Marie Logue condemned the incident and said it is an attack on the entire community.

Cllr Logue said: "These laptops and computers are essential in the teaching of our children who have now been deprived of much needed equipment.

"St Josephs School like all schools are facing tight budgets and are now having to look at replacing this equipment and repairing the damage to the school.

"Not only is this an attack on the school but is an attack on the entire community who use the school.

"I would appeal to anyone who has any information or is offered a computer or laptop in suspicious circumstances to report  it immediately to the PSNI."
