Co Antrim Flat Fire Started Deliberately
A fire at a flat in Co Antrim is believed to have been started deliberately.
The blaze broke out at a ground floor flat on the Ballymoney Road, Ballymena, at around 2.15am on Friday.
No-one was in the property at the time.
Firefighters used two hosereel jets to extinguish the blaze in the living room of the ground floor flat.
Fire crews from Ballymena and Antrim stations attended the incident.
An investigation has been launched.

A man has been arrested in connection with a house fire in south Belfast. It is believed the fire at a ground floor flat in the Agincourt Avenue area was started deliberately. The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) were called to the scene at approximately 11.32am. The blaze was brought under control at 12.

Fire Service Rescue Man From Newtownards Fire
A man was rescued by fire crews from a fire at his County Down home in the early hours of Sunday morning. Fire crews wearing breathing equipment rescued the man from a ground floor flat at Bristol Park in Newtownards and he has since been taken to hospital where he is being treated for the effects of breathing in smoke.

ASSEMBLY CREATE AWARD TO HONOUR FIRE SERVICE
THE Northern Ireland Fire Service is to receive the first ever award given by the province's devolved assembly. An illuminated scroll is to be presented to Chief Fire Officer John McClelland on Tuesday, by assembly speaker Lord Alderdice in tribute to the sacrifice made by fire fighters over the years.

Five Escape From Antrim Flat Fire
Five people, including a three-year-old boy, have escaped from a fire that began in a car and spread to two houses in County Antrim. Firecrews from Antrim and Ballymena were called to the blaze at Bleerick Drive in the Greystone estate at about 03:30 on Thursday morning. Firefighters led two people to safety from one of the houses.
