NI firm secure luxury apartments contract
A leading Northern Ireland construction firm have secured a contract to fit out part of a £30 million set of luxury apartments in London.
Antrim-based Mivan will help fit out 664 bathrooms, with a total value of £14.5 million, at the 199 Knightsbridge project in central London.
The development comprises 198 luxury apartments and seven Mews Houses on Knightsbridge looking over Hyde Park and close to Harvey Nichols, Harrods, and the Mandarin Oriental Hotel.
Despite competition from seven other contractors, Mivan have been awarded two packages on the project – the fit-out of bathrooms to Block A, and the fit-out of bathrooms to block B & Mews Houses.
Main contractor for the project is Multiplex Constructions UK while the chief architect is Squire and Partners.

Samson Shadowed By Belfast's Tallest Crane
Belfast has been 'put in the shade' by the largest crane to ever be erected in the city. Towering above the city centre skyline, the 106-metre structure was installed last week, to help construct the capital's tallest building. Raising the massive crane took almost three day to complete.

Multi-Million Pound Development For Rundown North Belfast Site
A planning application was lodged yesterday for a £90 million mixed used development in a rundown area of north Belfast. The Big Picture Development project is to be situated on a neglected patch - designated for development in the draft Belfast Metropolitan Area Plan - between Great George's Street and Nelson Street.
