Omagh firm secure contract for £100m hospital construction
An Omagh-based company has secured a major contract to provide building services co-ordination to a Dublin based company which is involved in the construction of the new £100 million hospital in the Republic of Ireland.
Concept Engineering Services will provide a site based engineering presence for a five-month period followed by continued support and fine-tuning over the remainder of the three-year construction process for Tullamore General Hospital in Offaly.
The contract is the biggest to date for the Invest NI backed company set up just over two years ago to provide specialist services to the construction industry.
Anthony McDowell, Client Executive in Invest NI ‘s western local office, said: “This contract is the result of CES’s focus on the export market and will give the company a good foundation on which to build similar business both within Ireland and overseas.”
CES Managing Director, Andrew Ashenhurst described the project as a major step in the right direction for his firm and said that it was exactly the market he had initially envisaged for the company.
