Five Non-Executive Members Appointed to NITHC Board
Regional Development Minister Michelle McIlveen, has announced the appointment of five Non-Executive Members to the Board of Northern Ireland Transport Holding Company (NITHC).
NITHC is a Public Corporation with responsibility for oversight of Translink in terms of support, control and supervision.
The five Non-Executive Members will take up the appointment on 02 January 2016 for four years until 01 January 2020. The Minister has reappointed Mr Bernard Mitchell and Mr Tony Depledge to the Board to serve a second term. They have been Non Executive Directors of NITHC since 2011. Dr Mark Sweeney OBE, Ms Hilary McCartan and Ms Angela Reavey have all been appointed for a first term.
Minister McIlveen said: "I am very pleased to announce these appointments today. I am confident that the reappointed members will continue to make a valuable contribution to the work of the NITHC Board. The new members will bring fresh perspectives and ideas. They have a wide range of experience including Industrial, commercial and financial experience, corporate governance, risk management and expertise in industrial relations."

Union Members Vote In Favour Of Merger
Ucatt and Unite are set to merge after union members voted overwhelmingly in favour of combining the two organisations. Ucatt members voted by 85.5% to 14.5% for the move, which paves the way to combine both memberships and form a "strong progressive voice for Britain's construction workers and their industry".
