£1,000 Of Suspected Stolen Goods Found After 'Santa Sack' Search

Stolen goods have been discovered after police searched a man carrying a 'Santa sack' in Coleraine.

The Neighbourhood Policing Team from the North Coast PSNI recovered over £1,000 of suspected stolen goods during a follow up search at the man's home address.

The man has been detained by the police.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "A note to all those children aged nine months to 99 years who may be a little worried: this was not the REAL Santa Claus."

Arrests And Suspected Stolen Good Seized In L'Derry
Two men have been arrested and a quantity of suspected stolen goods have been seized by officers from the City Centre Neighbourhood Team in L'Derry. A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of six counts of theft and he remains in police custody at this time.

Man In Newry Arrested For Hammer Attack And Burglary
A 40 year-old man has been arrested by Police in Newry on suspicion of aggravated burglary and assault. Police received reports that a male resident returned to his home in the Violet Hill Avenue area of the city around 8pm on Wednesday night to find a burglary in process.
