Three Lanes Closed Following M2 Collision

A two-vehicle crash on the M2 heading out of Belfast has caused huge delays for motorists.

Three lanes of the M2 have been closed and it may be some time before the road is fully reopened.

The lanes have been closed between Fortwilliam and Greencastle.

Motorists are being advised pass the accident on the hard shoulder or use the M5.

No-one was seriously injured.

'Serious' Car Accident In Lisburn
Emergency services are at the scene of a "serious" one-vehicle collision in Lisburn. The accident happened shortly before midday. It is understood a tree fell and hit a van during stormy weather. The Hillsborough Road has been closed to traffic. Motorists have been advised to avoid the area.

12 Hour Bus Lanes To Be Introduced On M1 & M2
New hard shoulder bus lanes on the M1 and M2 motorways are to begin operating next week, Monday 11 March. It follows the completion of a £4 million scheme. The new Belfast bound lanes will operate from between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Friday, with a maximum speed limit of 40mph.

Pedestrian Dies On M1 After Collision
A pedestrian has died after a collision with a lorry on the M1. The incident happened on the motorway near the Lurgan junction at around 5pm on Wednesday, 01 August. Police confirmed the pedestrian was a man. The westbound and eastbound lanes were closed however they have since been reopened.
