Second Man Arrested Over Murder Of David Clarke

Police have arrested a second man in connection with the murder of David Clarke in 2001.

Mr Clarke, who had learning difficulties, was beaten in his flat on the Forthriver Road in the early hours of 06 June.

The 32-year-old suspect was arrested in the Shankill area and is being detained at a police station in Belfast.

Detective Chief Inspector Alan Dickson said: "I would continue to ask anyone with information to do the right thing and come forward with anything they know.

"They can call the police non-emergency number 101, or use the independent charity Crimestoppers, where information can be provided anonymously on 0800 555 111."

A man has been arrested by police investigating the murder of David Clarke in 2001. The 33-year-old suspect was arrested in the Bangor area on Thursday. Mr Clarke, 26, who had learning difficulties, was beaten to death at his flat in north Belfast on 06 June 2001.

A woman has been arrested in connection with the murder of David Clarke in north Belfast in 2001. The 33-year-old suspect has been detained at a police station in Belfast for questioning. She was arrested in the greater Shankill area on Tuesday.

Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Attempted Murder
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder over an attack in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. A man, aged in his 50s, is in a critical condition in hospital after he was assaulted at a house on the Ballycastle Road on Monday, 26 September. Two other men were also arrested and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Pensioners Flee Bangor Arson Attack
Police in North Down are appealing for information following a suspicious fire at a community hall in the Skipperstone Road area of Bangor on Thursday. At around 9.00pm, petrol was poured over the door of the centre and set alight. A number of pensioners were in the community centre at the time.
