400 New Jobs Announced For Cork

Four hundred new jobs are to be created in Cork by business process outsourcing company Voxpro, Taoiseach Enda Kenny has announced.

"The creation of 400 new jobs by Voxpro is fantastic news for Cork and a boost to the reputation of the South West region as a growing hub for innovative companies.

"The Government is determined to maintain a positive environment for enterprise to grow and create new jobs so that we can keep the recovery going," the Taoiseach said.

The additional staff will bring the company's total employment to 1,400.

The company which was established 20 years ago, has experienced massive growth since it won a contract to provide technical support to Google in 2009. At that stage it had 40 employees, today it has just under 1,000.

The company currently has openings for a range of customer service and technical support roles for people with Dutch, French, German, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian.

Voxpro Creates 350 New Jobs
Taoiseach Enda Kenny and Minister for Jobs Richard Bruton were in Cork today, Friday, to announce the creation of 350 new jobs at Voxpro, Ireland's largest exporter of multilingual business process outsourcing. Voxpro is actively recruiting multilingual, technical positions that will see its workforce increase from 500 to 850 by the end of 2014.

Purepipe To Create Six New Jobs
Belfast-based Purepipe is investing £250,000 and creating six new jobs as part of plans to boost sales in Great Britain and the Republic of Ireland. Invest Northern Ireland has offered the company £45,000 towards its expansion which involves investing in new state-of-the-art specialised pipe manufacturing equipment needed to target new business.
