Stormont Talks Are Coming To An End - Eastwood
The Leader of the SDLP has said the Stormont Talks appear to be rapidly coming to an end.
Colum Eastwood MLA said that it's time for both governments and all parties to put their cards on the table at the current round of Talks.
He added that the SDLP had tabled a number of papers seeking to resolve a range of issues and that other parties and the two governments needed to match that candour by sharing their own proposals.
Mr Eastwood said: "People are fed up with the constant cycle of crisis, negotiation, breakdown, much of it manufactured by the inability of the two largest parties to actually share power.
"We've had Haass, we've had Stormont House 1, if Stormont House revisited doesn't deliver a comprehensive resolution to all the issues, people will lose even more faith in politics.
"The SDLP has a high standard for any outcome in this process. After so much peace processing, it's time for a comprehensive resolution, not more shady deals, shabby deals and side deals."
