Woman in critical condition following gas explosion
A woman is critically ill in hospital after a gas explosion ripped through her Co Armagh home early this morning.
The 39-year-old woman was attempting to light her gas cooker when the explosion occurred at around 7.30am on Wednesday.
Her husband and three children, who were in bed at the time, escaped injury.
The family's home had its roof blown off and virtually every window in the house was broken in the blast.
A spokesperson for the fire brigade said he believed there had been a gas leak and that the house would most probably have to be pulled down.
