Teen Seriously Injured After Being Hit By Car In Lurgan

A 17-year-old has been seriously injured after he was hit by a car in Lurgan, Co Armagh.

The incident occurred at Avenue Road, close to its junction with Demesne Avenue at around 11.30pm on Wednesday.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital for treatment, however police said he is being closely monitored and his injuries are believed to be "very serious".

Police are appealing for any witnesses to contact them.

A 16-year-old girl has been seriously injured in a road crash in Lurgan, Co Armagh. The collision happened in Lake Street at around 9.40pm on Friday, 29 July. Police have launched an investigation and the girl is currently being treated in hospital.

Fresh Appeal For Information On Shane Whitla Murder
PSNI detectives investigating the murder of 39-year-old Shane Whitla in Lurgan have issued an appeal for information and witnesses. A post-mortem examination confirmed that Mr Whitla died of a gunshot wound to the chest. According to report, he had also suffered a serious puncture wound to his neck.

Man Seriously Ill After Being Found Unconscious In Co Antrim
A man is in a serious condition in hospital after being found unconscious at a house in Ballymena, Co Antrim. The man was discovered at a property in the Dunclug Gardens area on Tuesday, 18 October. A 40-year-old man has been arrested and is assisting police with their enquiries. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
