Man Abducted And Attacked In Lisburn

Three masked men have abducted and attacked a man in Lisburn.

The incident happened in the general area of the Saintfield Road and Ballynahinch Road in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

The 22-year-old victim was struck on the head and bundled into a car.

He was taken to a flat where he was attacked, however he was able to get away and was found by police in the Barrack Street area.

He is currently receiving hospital treatment for his injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.

Detective Sergeant Lyttle said: "I would ask anyone who saw any suspicious activity, or who knows anything about this incident, to contact detectives in Lisburn Police Station on the non emergency number 101. Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111."

Police in Lisburn have appealed for information following an attack on a school in the city yesterday evening. The incident happened at the Good Shepherd School in Dunmurry at around 6.50pm, and a police spokesperson has said that around 25 windows were broken during the incident.

Appeal Issued For Missing Lisburn Man Thomas McKeown
The PSNI in Lisburn have issued an appeal for help in tracing the whereabouts of Thomas McKeown. The 52-year-old was last seen at around 11.12am in the centre of Lisburn on Tuesday 11 June. Police said that Thomas is a "vulnerable adult" and they are keen to trace his current whereabouts.
