Man Abducted And Attacked In Lisburn

Three masked men have abducted and attacked a man in Lisburn.

The incident happened in the general area of the Saintfield Road and Ballynahinch Road in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

The 22-year-old victim was struck on the head and bundled into a car.

He was taken to a flat where he was attacked, however he was able to get away and was found by police in the Barrack Street area.

He is currently receiving hospital treatment for his injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.

Detective Sergeant Lyttle said: "I would ask anyone who saw any suspicious activity, or who knows anything about this incident, to contact detectives in Lisburn Police Station on the non emergency number 101. Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111."

Officers attacked as they help resuscitate woman
Police have been attacked in west Belfast after helping resuscitate a woman who had collapsed in her home. The 50-year-old woman was found lying unconscious in her kitchen in the Glenalina area after being alerted by ambulance crews at about 8.30pm on Sunday.
