Pfizer To Create Around 130 Jobs In Ireland

Pfizer has announced it is to create approximately 130 jobs across three manufacturing sites in Ireland.

The jobs will be created at Grange Castle in Dublin, Little Island and Ringaskiddy in Cork.

A recruitment drive is already underway.

Pfizer employs approximately 3,200 people at six sites in Ireland across manufacturing, shared services, R&D, treasury and commercial operations and has invested $7 billion in operations in Ireland since 1969.

Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton said: "A key part of our Action Plan for Jobs has been attracting companies into Ireland through the IDA's work and ensuring that every region in the country benefits from job creation. Pfizer with six sites in Ireland has been in Ireland since 1969 and has expanded with the support of my Department through IDA. I welcome Pfizer's announcement today that it is recruiting in Dublin and Cork and I wish them every success for the future."

€11M Investment At Cork Plant Announced
The Tánaiste has announced pharmaceutical company Pfizer is to invest over €11 million in the establishment of an R&D facility in Cork. Pfizer, one of the world’s largest research-based biomedical and pharmaceutical companies will establish an R&D Kilo Technology Laboratory at its Ringaskiddy site in Cork.

Pfizer Centre To Create 100 Jobs
US pharmaceutical company Pfizer has announced 100 jobs will be created with the construction of a new research and development centre in Co Cork. The firm - which currently employs 2,300 people - is expected to announce the multi-million euro investment later today for the new plant at Ringaskiddy in Cork.

180 Pfizer Jobs To Go In Cork
Pharmaceutical giant Pfizer is to shed 180 Cork jobs after failing to find a buyer for one of its five Irish manufacturing plants. During the past year and a half the firm has attempted to sell its Little Island facility under the terms of a going concern, in order to hold onto workers.
