Major Job Fair To Be Held In Belfast

Employment and Learning Minister Dr Stephen Farry is reminding people that a major Job Fair will be held in Belfast on Wednesday 21 October.

The event will take place in the Europa Hotel, Belfast between 10:00am and 4:00pm and has been organised by the Department for Employment and Learning (DEL).

Minister Farry said: "This is the fourth annual Belfast event which brings together employers, support organisations and jobseekers under one roof. The Job Fair has something for everyone and I would encourage anyone, whether in work, unemployed or simply considering their education and training options, to explore the services that will be available on the day."

The Job Fair will offer jobseekers employment opportunities, careers guidance and advice on training and jobsearch skills. Over 70 employers, including BT Flex, Allen & Overy, Firstsource, Hastings Hotel Group, Ikea, Charles Hurst Group, Tesco and Almac, will be in attendance, as will a number of support and training organisations. A total of over 2,300 jobs will be on offer at the event. A number of employers will be interviewing for job opportunities on the day and staff will be on hand to assist with any last minute interview tips and techniques.

Major Job Fair Brings Employment Opportunities To Belfast
The Department for Communities, in partnership with Belfast City Council, is hosting a major job fair in Belfast on Tuesday 21 February 2017. The job fair will take place in the Europa Hotel Belfast between 10.00am and 3pm and is free to attend.

'Path 2 Employment' Job Fair Announced
The 'Path 2 Employment' job fair is to be held in the Banqueting Hall of Belfast City Hall on Thursday, 30 March. The event has been organised by Workforce Training Services with the Path 2 Employment project, part funded by the council.

Consultation On New Employment Programme Launched
Employment and Learning Minister Dr Stephen Farry today launched a public consultation on a proposed new employment programme for Northern Ireland. The new programme, which has been called provisionally Steps 2 Success (NI), will replace the Department’s main adult return to work provision, Steps to Work, which was introduced in September 2008.

Fine Gael Clare Senator and Seanad Spokesperson on Disability, Martin Conway, has said that National Job Shadow Day 2013 will help to eliminate barriers to employment for people with disabilities by promoting inclusion. Senator Conway is taking part in the initiative by welcoming a job seeker to Leinster House, who will shadow him for the day.
