Man Arrested After Police Seize Cocaine Worth £100,000

A 34-year-old man has been arrested after police seized £100,000 worth of suspected cocaine in Hillsborough.

Detectives from the Reactive and Organised Crime Branch carried out a search of a vehicle under the Misuse of Drugs Act on the Hillsborough Road at around 2.30pm on Saturday.

The vehicle has been seized and the suspected cocaine has been taken away for examination.

The man is being detained in police custody.

A man has been arrested after police seized cocaine worth £30,000 in Newry. The 29-year-old suspect has been charged with a number of drugs offences. He is accused of possession of a Class A drug, possession with intent to supply, and possession of criminal property. He is to appear before Newry Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, 08 November.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.
