Bombardier And Airbus End Talks Over CSeries Jet Investment
Aerospace firm Bombardier has confirmed it held talks with the Airbus Group over plans to invest in its CSeries jet program.
However, in a statement both companies have said the discussions are "no longer being pursued".
There has been a lack of sales in the Cseries for some time.
In a statement Bombardier said: "As previously mentioned, Bombardier will continue to explore initiatives such as a potential participation in industry consolidation. The Corporation will neither comment nor speculate on the potential outcomes of its commercial discussions."
The Airbus Group also released a statement which said: "Airbus Group confirms that it has been exploring business opportunities with Canada-based Bombardier Inc. and that such discussions are no longer being pursued.
"The Group will refrain from any further comment."
Bombardier is the largest manufacturing employer in Northern Ireland.

Bombardier Wins Case With Boeing
Aerospace firm Bombardier has won a case in the US with rival company Boeing which put thousands of jobs in Northern Ireland at risk. A decision was overturned to impose huge 292% tariffs on imports of its C-Series planes. The wings for the C Series are made in NI.

Airbus Buys Majority Stake In Bombardier's C Series Aircraft Jets
Airbus has bought a majority stake in Bombardier's C-Series aircraft programme. The firm has acquired 51% in the C-Series Aircraft Limited Partnership. DUP leader Arlene Foster welcomed the announcement and said it was "significant news" for Bombardier. She said: "Airbus clearly recognise the value of the C-Series.

Aircraft Apprentices 'Key To Success'
The role of local aeronautical apprentices has been praised. During a visit to Bombardier Aerospace, the Stormont Employment and Learning Minister, Sir Reg Empey was updated on the progress of the company's new CSeries aircraft programme, for which Belfast is designing and manufacturing the wing.
