eSentire Opens New Headquarters In Cork
eSentire Inc., a leader in continuous advanced threat protection solutions and managed cybersecurity services, celebrates the opening of its new European-based headquarters and Security Operations Center (SOC) in Cork, Ireland by announcing the first bursary for the Department of Computing at the Cork Institute of Technology (CIT).
Last year the company announced plans to open a EU location and in May, eSentire announced they had chosen Cork, Ireland to establish their EU headquarters with the support of the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through IDA Ireland.
At an event to mark the occasion of its opening, eSentire cemented its commitment to Cork by announcing CIT Department of Computing’s first bursary. The bursary, named after a revered eSentire executive who passed away in 2014, will be awarded to a second year student starting in the 2015 school year.
"The entire eSentire team has been looking forward to today to celebrate the opening of our new Cork offices and welcome our new Irish colleagues into their new location," said J. Paul Haynes, CEO eSentire. "Our Cork office is open for business and our EU Security Operations Center is up and running. We want to express our commitment to this community through the CIT bursary as well as support the demand for these crucial skills."

Purepipe To Create Six New Jobs
Belfast-based Purepipe is investing £250,000 and creating six new jobs as part of plans to boost sales in Great Britain and the Republic of Ireland. Invest Northern Ireland has offered the company £45,000 towards its expansion which involves investing in new state-of-the-art specialised pipe manufacturing equipment needed to target new business.
