Man Arrested Following Drugs Seizure In Lisburn

A 31-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a suspected drugs seizure, worth an estimated value of £150,000, in Lisburn.

A suspected firearm was also seized during a house search in the Ballynahinch Road area.

PSNI District Commander for Lisburn and Castlereagh City, Superintendent Sean Wright said: "This successful operation which was carried out by specialist detectives and our own officers in the district is an excellent example of how we use all resources available to tackle criminality. The issue of illegal drugs is a priority for PSNI in this district and I believe my colleagues in Reactive and Organised Crime Branch and uniformed officers are making a significant impact on the illegal drugs trade."
