Woman Injured In Stabbing Attack
A 35-year-old woman is in a critical but stable condition in hospital following a stabbing attack in west Belfast.
The incident occurred at a property in the Woodside View area of Poleglass at around 6pm on Monday.
A man and woman called to the house and there is believed to have been an altercation at the door.
The victim was stabbed in the stomach.
A 26-year-old man was arrested in north Belfast in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Sinn Féin MLA Jennifer McCann said: "I unreservedly condemn this attack. Using knives as a weapon to attack someone often results in death or life-changing injuries.
"This has a wide-reaching impact on victims, their families and the wider community.
"I would appeal to anyone who has any information about this attack to contact the PSNI."

Two people have been killed in separate stabbing incidents in Northern Ireland over the weekend. Hugh McKibben, 51, of Main Street in Carrowdore died in a stabbing incident at a house on Inisharoan Court about midnight on Sunday May 5. Four people were arrested following his murder but three have since been released on police bail.

Three people being questioned about murder
Detectives are questioning two men and one woman about the murder of a man in his thirties in a stabbing incident in County Antrim. Trevor Halliday, from the Ravenhill area in Belfast, was stabbed in Pembroke Court, Glengormley at around 02:30am on Sunday morning.

Woman Bailed Following Stabbing Attack
A woman, who was arrested in connection with a stabbing attack in Newry, has been released on bail. The man who was injured in the assault is believed to be in a stable condition. He was transferred from Daisy Hill Hospital to the Royal Victoria Hospital where he underwent surgery. The woman was bailed pending further police enquiries.

Police appeal following stabbing in south Belfast
Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed in south Belfast. The 19-year-old victim was walking along Carmel Street at around 8.45pm when a man approached him and tried to steal his phone. The attacker, who was wielding a large knife, then stabbed the man in the chest. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Man Released On Bail Over College Stabbing Incident
A man, 20, who was arrested in connection with a stabbing at a college in Belfast has been released on bail. Police said the man was released pending further enquiries. A 26-year-old is currently in hospital following the incident at Belfast Metropolitan College on Thursday. His condition is described as serious but stable.
