Pensioner Assaulted During Burglary In Lisburn
A man, aged in his 90s, has been assaulted during a burglary at his home in Lisburn.
The attacked happened at a property in the Ballymacash area on Monday at around 10.45pm.
The thug demanded car keys off the victim and made off in the residents blue Ford Mondeo.
At approximately 11.10pm, the car was involved a collision and was set on fire in the Distillery Street area of west Belfast. The vehicle was destroyed in the fire.
The victim was not injured in the incident.
The burglar is described as being aged in his late 20s or early 30s. He is believed to be around 6ft tall with short dark hair.
Detective Inspector Cummings said: "I would ask anyone with any information about this incident to contact detectives in Lisburn Police Station on the non emergency number 101. Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111."

Heavy Snow Closes Over 80 Schools
Over 80 schools across Northern Ireland have been closed as the heavy snow continues to cause disruption on Tuesday morning. The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning, as the snow is continuing to affect many roads. Areas which have been majorly disrupted include Lisburn, Castlereagh and Carryduff.

Police Appeal After Man Is Killed In Road Crash
Police are appealing to witnesses following a fatal crash in Lisburn on Friday. Neil Graham, 24, died when his motorbike crashed with a car in the Woodland Park area. The female driver suffered minor injuries. Lisburn Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.
