Man Arrested Over Human Trafficking Offences
A man has been arrested in connection with the trafficking of a number of people in south Armagh.
The man has been detained on suspicion of Human Trafficking for Securing Services between 01 January and 17 July 2015, a number of fraud offences, money laundering and gangmaster offences.
The arrest follows a multi-agency PSNI led proactive operation against human trafficking for labour exploitation when police rescued 16 victims of Human Trafficking working in the agricultural sector in South Armagh on Friday 17 July.

Pair Jailed After Admitting Human Trafficking And Prostitution Offences
A man and woman from Romania have been sentenced to two years in prison after admitting human trafficking and prostitution offences. Ionut Ille, aged 34, and Ancuta Schwarz, aged 30, were detained three years ago as part of a joint investigation with Swedish police. Ille was arrested in Romania and Schwarz was arrested in Belfast.

A man has been arrested as part of an investigation into human trafficking in south Belfast. Police received a report of a woman being beaten outside a property in the area on Tuesday, 25 April. A 36-year-old Eastern European woman and is currently being assessed as a potential victim of human trafficking.
