Council To Host Affordable Home Scheme Event
Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council is hosting an information event to establish and inform a network of qualified installers about the Affordable Warmth Scheme.
The event is to be held on Tuesday 01 September from 6.00pm – 7.30pm at Lagan Valley Island. The installers would be required to carry out energy efficiency and heating system works.
The scheme is being delivered in partnership with the Northern Ireland Housing Executive (NIHE) and the Department for Social Development. It offers a package of energy efficiency and heating measures tailored to eligible households.
Residents may be eligible if they are an owner-occupier or householder of a privately rented property and the annual gross household income is less than £20,000.

Businesses Invited To Energy Awareness Event
Businesses in Northern Ireland are being invited to find out how to become more energy efficient. In association with Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council, Manufacturing NI will host an energy awareness event to address energy costs, which are a major challenge for business sustainability, growth and competitiveness.

Invest NI has announced a new Resource and Energy Efficiency event, to look at how businesses can save through energy management, refrigeration systems and renewable energy technologies. Invest NI's Sustainable Development team helped Northern Ireland businesses identify over £7.2 million of savings last year.
