Boy Dies In Tragic Accident At Hilden Brewery

A four-year-old boy has died following a tragic accident at Hilden Brewery in Lisburn on Thursday afternoon.

It is believed he was crushed under a metal tank.

The Health and Safety Executive has launched an investigation.

SDLP councillor for Lisburn Pat Catney said: "This is an indescribably tragic accident – it is difficult to find the words to convey just how painful this news is.

"I am close friends with the family and have known the little boy his entire life. Oliver was a force of nature – this little blond four year old wonder who enchanted everyone who met him. He was part of the life here at the brewery and I know that the staff are also devastated at his death.

"All I can do now is help his mum, dad and siblings in their time of need. They will be forever in my thoughts and prayers."
