£100,000 Of Herbal Cannabis Seized
£100,000 worth of herbal cannabis has been seized by police destined for Northern Ireland.
Three houses have been searched in Lisburn, Belfast and Antrim in connection with the seizure. A man has been interviewed in connection with the seizure and released pending further enquiries.
Detective Sergeant Patrick Mullan of the PSNI Organised Crime Branch said: "The importation of illegal drugs causes significant harm within communities. We will continue to investigate those involved in bringing misery to the communities within Northern Ireland."
Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

The Northern Ireland Council for Ethnic Minorities (NICEM) has issued an apology for comparing a school merger plan with the Holy Cross sectarian dispute in 2001. The NICEM said it would never aim to "demonise" or "label" any communities within Northern Ireland. The Holy Cross dispute occurred in 2001 and 2002 in the Ardoyne area of north Belfast.

Irvinestown Trustee Enterprise Company Ltd (ITEC) has been announced as winner of the Northern Ireland heat of the Enterprising Britain 2007 competition. It was awarded the honour ahead of runners-up Mission Hall Quilts from Londonderry and the Signal Centre of Excellence in Bangor.
