Man Dies After Being Struck By Lorry In Ballynahinch

A man has died after he was hit by a lorry in Ballynahinch, Co Down.

The crash happened on Windmill Street at around 11am.

The driver may not have been aware of the collision and drove through the centre of Ballynahinch, according to the police.

The vehicle is believed to have had Miskelly Brothers written on the front, however the firm no longer owns the lorry.

It is described as a six-wheel tipper lorry with a blue/brown cab.

Police are appealing for the driver, or anyone with information to contact them.

Lorry Overturns In Co Tyrone
A lorry has crashed and overturned in Co Tyrone. It is understood the cement lorry crashed into a graveyard at St Mark's church. Police have said the Crossowen Road, between Augher and Clogher, is closed in both directions. The driver of the vehicle has been taken to hospital for treatment. It is understood his injuries are not life-threatening.

Man Dies In Co Antrim Road Crash
A man has died in a collision in Crumlin, Co Antrim. The crash, which involved a car and a lorry, happened on the Manse Road, at its junction with Nutts Corner, at around 10.50am on Monday, 10 April. The victim, aged in his 20s, was the driver of an Audi car. The lorry driver was not injured. The road has been reopened.

30-Year-Old Man Dies In Glenshane Pass Collision
Police have renewed an appeal for information on a fatal road traffic collision on the Glenshane Pass. A 30-year-old man died when the car he was driving was involved in a collision with a tanker lorry near the Ponderosa bar between Dungiven and Maghera at 05:20 on Monday 09 August.

Couple Die In Omagh Crash
A couple, aged in their 70s, have died in a crash in Omagh. The collision, between a car and a lorry, happened on the Doogary Road just before 3pm on Monday, 03 September. The man and woman died at the scene of the crash. The lorry driver was not injured.

Runaway lorry crashes into house
A runaway lorry has crashed into a house in Co Down on Wednesday. The incident occurred on Main Street in Crossgar as the lorry driver was making a delivery. The Dutch registered articulated lorry was parked on an incline at Mary's Lane just off Crossgar's Main Street when it began rolling down the street before crashing into the house.
