Translink Apologise Over Driver's Homophobic Comment
A Translink NI driver has reportedly been disciplined for making homophobic remarks over an open radio network.
According to reports the driver reportedly used an "offensive term for homosexuals" while speaking to the company's control centre over an open channel during Belfast's LGBT Pride festival.
A BBC report on the incident claims that when challenged over his use of the term, the driver repeated it.
Translink have issued an apology to its passengers and staff for "offensive language".
The company added that a full investigation had been carried out and "appropriate action" has been taken.

PSNI Appeal For Information After Suspicious Approach In County Down
Police are appealing for witnesses after an 11-year-old boy was reportedly approached while making his way to school in County Down. A male driving a dark coloured car advanced towards the child on the Shimna Road, at the junction with Bryansford Avenue in Newcastle, shortly before 9am on Tuesday 08 January.

No Budget To Offer Driver Pay Increase – Translink
Bus and train drivers have been urged to not "further exacerbate the financial pressures on Translink", with the first day of major strike action planned for Friday 01 December. All three unions representing Translink NI workers, SIPTU, GMB and Unite, have announced that they will strike for 24 hours, from 00:01 on 01 December.
