Images Released After Man Attacked In South Belfast

A 36-year-old man has been attacked in south Belfast.

The incident occurred at an off-licence in the Ormeau Road area at around 7.45pm on Saturday 30 May.

Police said they will be releasing images after the man was assaulted by three males.

The victim required hospital treatment, however his injuries were not life-threatening.

Constable Paul Ferris said: "Anyone with any information about these images or the incident is asked to contact the Case Progression Team in Musgrave Police Station on the non emergency number 101. Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111."

Man Held Over Double Murder
A 33-year-old man arrested in connection with the murder of a man and woman in east Belfast remains in custody and is assisting police with their enquiries. Police investigating the murder in the Ravenhill Court area of east Belfast on Friday 13 December have named the deceased as 42-year-old Finbar McGrillen and 40-year-old Caron Smyth.

Police appeal over east Belfast hit-and-run
Police in east Belfast have appealed for information following a hit-and-run incident at the weekend. A 69-year-old man and his nine-year-old grandson were crossing the road close to the Point bar on the Upper Newtownards Road at around 2pm on Friday, when they were struck by a blue coloured Audi A3 car.

Police Release Images Of Two People Over Robbery In North Belfast
Police investigating a robbery in north Belfast have released images of two people they would like to speak to. The armed robbery happened at a shop on the Antrim road on Saturday 31 October last year. A man entered the shop armed with a claw hammer and threatened female staff members. He made off with a sum of cash in the direction of Grey's Lane.

Police Treat Co Down Gun Attack As Attempted Murder
Police are treating a gun attack in Comber, Co Down as attempted murder. A man in his 50s suffered injuries that are not believed to be life threatening when the incident occurred shortly after 10.20pm on Sunday night, 15 March.
