PAREXEL To Create 130 New Jobs

PAREXEL has announced it is to create 130 new jobs.

The firm also announced it is opening a new global decision-making hub for the Company in Kilmainham, Dublin 8.

Seventy employees are in place, and recruitment is underway for the new positions.

The investment is supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through IDA Ireland.

Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton TD said: "Life sciences is a key sector which we have targeted as part of our Action Plan for Jobs, and in recent years we have seen an impressive jobs performance in this area, both in Dublin and across the country. Today's announcement that PAREXEL is adding 130 jobs in Kilmainham is a great boost and an example of the wide range of different types of jobs that Ireland can attract in this sector. I look forward to working closely with Douglas and the team at PAREXEL as they roll out this project."

130 Jobs Announced, 130 Jobs Lost
A total of 130 jobs have been announced at a new nursing home in Dublin. The Cara Care centre is being built in Northwood Park in Santry, in a €12m investment from the TLC group. It is expected to open at the end of the month. Recruitment is underway for a range of positions at the centre, including nurses, care assistants and administrators.

The Cork branch of the billion dollar multi-national corporation Flextronics has announced they are axing 130 jobs. The electronic components company announced this morning that 130 people are to be made redundant by the company.

100 New Jobs Announced In Co Galway
One hundred new jobs are to be created by life-sciences technologies company, Surmodics, the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise & Innovation, Mary Mitchell O'Connor has announced. The jobs announcement follows the company's acquisition of Creagh Medical in Ballinasloe, Co Galway, in November 2015.
