Road Re-Opens Following Roof Collapse In Rathfriland
A road in Rathfriland, County Down, has been re-opened after the roof of a building partially collapsed in Dromore Street.
Bricks and debris fell from the building onto the road when the roof caved in on Thursday evening.
Police closed the road while contractors and Northern Ireland Electricty (NIE) workers made the building safe.
No-one was hurt and no vehicles were damaged.

Co Down Road Reopens Following Fire
A County Down road has reopened following a fire on Friday, 14 July. The Church Street area in Downpatrick was closed and diversions were put in place. The fire was discovered by officers on mobile patrol who were in attendance at a flat and they raised the alarm and residents were able to exit their properties.

Road death figures are lowest in 50 years
Figures released today by the Department of the Environment have revealed that road deaths in Northern Ireland last year were at the lowest level in 50 years. The total number of road deaths in 2005 totalled 136, the lowest number since 1952 when 133 people lost their lives at at time when there was one eighth of the number of vehicles on the road.
