Man Charged With Two Counts Of Attempted Murder
A man has appeared in court charged with two counts of attempted murder after two women were hit by a car in north Belfast on Monday.
A 16-year-old girl was injured after being trapped under the car on the Crumlin Road, however she is in a stable condition in hospital.
John Alexander Aughey, 61, of Brae Hill, Ballysillan, confirmed he understood the charges against him.
He has been released on strict bail conditions and is due to appear in court in four weeks.

Extradited man denies murder
A 43-year-old Chinese man who was extradited from Hong Kong in connection with the death of a Chinese woman has denied murder. Wong Sui Ching appeared today at Belfast Magistrate’s Court charged with the murder of 29-year-old part-time waitress Ho Mi Ye. She had been found strangled at her home in Isoline Street in east Belfast in June 1998.

The man arrested on Tuesday in connection with the 1998 Omagh bombing has appeared in court today. Anthony Joseph Donegan, 34, from Dundalk, appeared before Enniskillen Magistrates Court on Wednesday charged with supplying a car to terrorists between 11 August 1998 and 16 August 1998.

Funeral of car park victim takes place
The funeral has taken place of a man who was murdered outside a Co Tyrone hotel at the weekend. Sean Mimnagh, 21, died after being struck by a car which failed to stop at a car park outside Glengannon Hotel in Dungannon on Sunday. Mr Mimnagh was buried in Greenhill cemetery after a service at Sacred Heart Church in Omagh on Thursday.

Man Charged Over Banbridge Murder
A man charged with the murder of another man found dead in Banbridge is to appear before Newry Magistrates' Court today, 13 July. The body of 55-year-old Richard Gerard Scullion was found at a property in the Millmount Court area on Monday, 09 July. Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.
