Road Users Urged To Take Care Over Bank Holiday Weekend

Drivers and the public are being urged to take care on the roads over the Bank Holiday weekend.

Environment Minister Mark H Durkan said: "We cannot afford to be complacent."

He added: "More children will be walking and cycling and many families will be out and about enjoying the break. And there is likely to be increased cyclists and motorcyclists enjoying the better weather.

"Collectively, as road users, we are making thousands of decisions everyday that save lives. Both our own, and the lives of those around us.

"We are all responsible for our own behaviour: drivers, passengers, motorcyclists, pedestrians and cyclists."
