Cyclist Seriously Hurt In Crash

A cyclist is in a serious condition in hospital following a collision on the Cookstown to Moneymore dual carriageway.

The man, 44, was hit by a car approximately two miles from Moneymore on Wednesday evening.

The dual carriageway has been re-opened.

Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

Pensioner Dies After Road Crash In L'Derry
A pensioner has died following a road crash between a tractor and another vehicle in L'Derry. The tractor the man was driving collided with a blue Honda 4x4 on the Moneymore to Cookstown dual carriageway on Friday morning. The man who was killed was in his 80's.

A5 Contractors Appointed
Three joint ventures have been awarded the contract to build a record breaking dual carriage way between Derry and Aughnacloy. The 86 kilometres A5 Western Transport Corridor is the largest single road scheme ever undertaken in Ireland. Roads Minister Conor Murphy said the contracts are in two phases.
