Attempted Arson Attack In Newry
Police have launched an investigation in connection with an attempted arson attack at a flat in Newry.
The incident occurred at a property on Cleary Crescent at around 9.15pm on Monday.
A flammable liquid was poured through the door from a plastic bottle which was placed at the door and set on fire.
Damage was caused to the door.
No-one was in the flat at the time, however a neighbour in a nearby property had to be treated for smoke inhalation.
Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

A wheelie bin was pushed against the front door of the property in Silverstream Court and set on fire just after 7am on Monday, 29 November. A woman was treated for smoke inhalation.

Shots Fired At House In Coleraine
An investigation has launched after three shots were fired through the window of a house in Coleraine. The attack happened at a property in the Loughanhill Park area at around 11pm on Thursday, 08 March. No-one was injured. Police responded to reports that a man had tried to force entry through the front door using a hammer.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.
