Arson Attack On Flat In L'Derry

Residents had to be evacuated from their homes following an arson attack on a flat in L'Derry.

The attack happened in the Bayview Terrace area on Friday at around 10.30pm.

Police and the emergency services attended the scene and extinguished the fire.

Extensive damage was caused to the interior of the property.

No-one was in the flat at the time.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Man rescued from burning flat
A man has been rescued from a burning flat in Co Londonderry in the early hours of this morning. He was pulled from the blaze after being found unconscious by two police officers who forced their way into the property at Loughanhill Park. The man was taken to hospital for treatment and a female officer was also treated for smoke inhalation.

Appeal For Information Following Arson Attack In West Belfast
Police have issued an appeal for information following an arson attack in west Belfast. According to reports, a flat at Glasvey Drive was targeted when a wheelie bin was pushed up against the front door and set alight at around 5am on Sunday.

Attempted Arson Attack In Newry
Police have launched an investigation in connection with an attempted arson attack at a flat in Newry. The incident occurred at a property on Cleary Crescent at around 9.15pm on Monday. A flammable liquid was poured through the door from a plastic bottle which was placed at the door and set on fire. Damage was caused to the door.

Investigation Launched Following Arson Attack In Belfast
Police have launched an investigation following an arson attack at a property in Belfast. A rag was put through the door of a house in the York Road area and set alight. Significant damage was caused to the door and the hall. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

PSNI Appeal For Information After Cars Set Alight In North Belfast
The PSNI have appealed for information after four cars were set alight in north Belfast. Police say the suspected arson attack happened at around 22:30 on Tuesday night on the Whitewell Road. It is understood no one was injured in the incidents.
