ER Media To Create Seven New Jobs
ER Media in Banbridge is investing almost £400,000 and creating seven new jobs as part of plans to grow its global sales via its e-commerce printing web sites Need A Print and Pixa Prints.
Invest Northern Ireland has offered the company support with its research and development and export marketing activities as well as an employment grant through its Jobs Fund to help ER Media exploit opportunities within the online printing and photo gift market.
The seven new jobs will include marketing, web development and customer service roles and will generate £117,000 annually in additional salaries for the local economy.
Managing Director Glenn Sands said: "This expansion is another step towards our goal to provide customers with a solution to all their print and personalised gift requirements.
"Having looked at the marketplace we decided to create the software to allow customers to order seamlessly and also create the automation process to produce the goods effectively.
"The success of this has resulted in a substantial uplift in export sales and with Invest NI's support we are moving quickly to capitalise on new export opportunities. This investment gives us the scope to take advantage of growing market opportunities and maximise the knowledge and experience of our workforce.
"Invest NI's support has been the catalyst in our decision to expand our product portfolio to include the photo gift market. The research and development we're undertaking in printing technology will offer a new commercial opportunity reselling the software system to small printing companies.
"Through the Jobs Fund we will be shortly recruiting the seven additional staff needed to meet the anticipated increase in workload."
