Robinson Announces Ministerial Reshuffle

First Minister Peter Robinson has announced a reshuffle of his DUP ministers.

Arlene Foster has stepped down as Enterprise Minister and been appointed Finance Minister.

Jonathan Bell has been appointed Enterprise Minister.

Michelle McIlveen replaces Mr Bell as Junior Minister in the Office of First and deputy First Minister.

Finance Minister Simon Hamilton has been appointed the new Health Minister.

Commenting on the reshuffle, Mr Robinson said: "The DUP Ministerial team has a blend of experience and new faces. They represent by far the best and most able team of any party in the Executive and can continue to deliver for the people of Northern Ireland.

"The continued pressures on public finance because of welfare reform penalties still pose a real challenge to devolution. It impacts upon vital public services and punishes those who are most vulnerable and most reliant upon those services. Mervyn Storey will continue to lead the Department of Social Development as we press for a resolution to this issue."
