Man Arrested After Police Find 'Suspicious Objects'

Police have arrested a 63-year-old man after they found a number of suspicious objects during a search in east Belfast.

A number of residents have been evacuated from their homes after the discovery was made at a property in Castlereagh Parade.

Army bomb disposal experts are currently at the scene and the area has been sealed off.

Shots Fired At House In Lurgan
Police are investigating after shots were fired at a house in Lurgan this morning. Officers attended the scene in the Forest Glade area of the town early on Tuesday 23 April. A statement from the PSNI later said that enquiries are ongoing. Anyone with information, who was in the area at around 1.

Clough Gun Attack 'Sectarian'
Police have said they are treating a shooting incident in the County Down village of Clough as sectarian. Two parked cars were shot at and damaged in the Claragh Court area. Shots were fired at the vehicles in the early hours of Friday morning. Police said the windscreens were smashed in the incident.

Shots Fired At House In Belfast
A man and woman have escaped injury after shots were fired at a house in south Belfast. They were inside the property in Powerscourt Place when the attack was carried out at approximately 10.25pm on Wednesday 31 October. Two shots were fired and two windows were damaged.

Thieves Steal Car In 'Creeper' Burglary
The PSNI has said a car has been stolen in a 'creeper' burglary in Limavady, County L'Derry. The silver Volvo S60 was stolen at some time before Friday morning, before it was discovered by a man living at a house on Seacoast Road. It is thought the thieves gained access to a utility room and stole the car keys.

Number Of 'Suspicious Items' Removed From Milltown Cemetery
A number of "suspicious" items have been removed from Milltown Cemetery in Belfast. It is understood that police attended the cemetery in West Belfast following reports of a "number of suspicious items". Police confirmed that officers attended and have taken a number of items away for examination. Investigations are ongoing.
